WHERE THE NAME OF MABALITE CAME FROM

Narrator:

            -In the verdant realm of Mabalite, where the earth hummed with life in the balite trees cast dappled shadows, a tale as old as time unfolded. Long before first settlers laid claim to the land, the bayakas family roamed the untamed wilderness. Their spirit intertwined with rhythms of nature.

-One day, a hunter named Aliguyon from the neighboring village of Masla  that want to hunt a native pig in baranggy Mabalite (as present).

Aliguyon:

            “ta umey ak kad manganop ad sidi ay banda bareng maka tsamba tanay ado mt mangibagbaga ay ado san buka sidi”. (while looking at his dog)

Narrator:

            –At 5:00 in the morning he took his hunting equipment and immediately went to Mabalite(as present).

Aliguyon:

            “ ay baket, nay umey kami, mataynan kayo kin amboy ta adi karkaro pumodot ”( while leaving)

Narrator:

            -When Aliguyon with his dog arrived in Mabalite (as  present) he started to hunt, He went around the mountain of Mabalite.

Aliguyon

            “ nay naka dateng tat,ayieee ta man inana kad biit ta way pigsa as awni” ( while resting with his dog)(after 3 min… he start hunting).

Narrator:

– After few hours, while walking he saw his dog chase a fat and big wild pig.

Aliguyon:

            “deey…Nag dakel, ayieee sa”

Narrator:

-They tried to catch it with his dog but they just can’t catch it because of its strength and speed of movement. When they got tired, they started to rest.

Aliguyon:

            ( while resting, he whisper) “ayie sayang paydi no adi kaala dakel paymet, nataba pay, awni taman inana ak pay biit nabay ak ay”.

            (after a few minutes in resting, he whisper),” may inta kasin apayawen di ta adi maka adawi”. ( while searching, he saw it again, then the dog chase him)

Narrator:

            –after a few hour, the wild pig got tired, so they easily catch it. When the night came, they decided to go home.

Aliguyon;

            “ay baket, nay naka gawed aket, nay ayka ta lugiyam ay utuen san nay insaak”

Narrator:

            -when a few minute resting he realize that his dog is missing,

Aliguyon:

            “ nesss.. into pay san asok adey?”

Narrator:

 so when the morning come he went back at Mablite(as present) to search his beloved dog, while searching, his heart heavy with worry.

Aliguyon:

            “ay bunganay(dog name) antoy kad am bumala ka adi”.

Narrator:

            -while walking he found his dog under the balite tree surrounded by a litter

Squirming pups.

Aliguyyon:

            “ ayie nay kabaw sina ya, adda pay annak mo, nag mamayat da pay”

Narrator:

            Overwhelmed with gratitude and wonder, Aliguyon returned to Masla, eager to share his tale of discovery. When he arrived in Masla someone ask him.

Ullalim:

            “ yan nang datnganam pay sin asom asana, ado mt annak, nag mayat da pay”

Narrator:

            -but when he pressed for details about where he found his beloved dog, a strange twist of fate intervened. So the word that he pronounce is:

Aliguyon:

            “MABALLITE”

Narrator:

            -the word “MABALLITE”, meaning under many ballite trees. And that is the word MABALITE came to existence. So as day goes by, this was named Mabalite.
