origin of tadian

:In Tabeo, there was a couple named Kaydud and Keeg. They had a pregnant pig that was about to have piglets. One day, Kaydud and Keeg discovered that their pig had already given birth, but they were puzzled because they couldn’t find any piglets.

Kaydud; into pay inmanakan din baboy ana, nay maid maila si anak na mo?(Where did that pig give birth, why we don’t see any piglets?)

Keeg; ta unoden ta no into nan umeyan na, tapno ma-amoan ta nan inmanakan na.(We will follow so we can find where did that pig gave birth)

Kaydud; ala karga-am ngarod si sodas nan likod na ta unuden ta no into nang nangiyanakan na si anak na.(Ok put some “sodas” in its back so we can follow where did that pig gave birth)

:They put “sodas” in the back of the pig then they fallowed the pig until they stop in “Danum” and found the piglets there.Keeg; nay upay iman ay mayat nan naanapan nas umanakan na ya.(Wow…. She found a nice place to give birth for her piglets.)

Kaydud: wen ngarod ado nan danum mayat tan asideg si payew adi ta paylang gumusa gusad.(Yes, your right it’s nice here because it is close to the water of the paddy field and we don’t have to go down.)

Mayat samet et no isna ta ay men tee.(I think that it is good to live here)

:Keeg agreed because they are amazed to the place, they decided to stay there and build a house for them to have a place to live. They build a family and live there until other people went to the place also because the place is beautiful.:Many years later, they had a son named Gatan. Gatan had a rooster with strange marks on its feet and his roster named tadi-an. One morning, the rooster flew away, so Gatan started looking for his chicken

Gatan; tadi-an,tadi-an, into pay nan te-am kruuut chaaa…(Tadi-an tadi-an where are you kruuut chaaa)

:Gatan is walking around, yelling for his chicken named “tadi-an.” Whenever he meets someone on the road, he asks if they’ve seen his pet rooster.

Gatan; ay ading ay wadan naililam sin kawitan ko ay wada di tadi na sin siki na?(Excuse me did you saw my rooster, that has a “tadi” on its feet?)

Boy; manong wada nailak ay pinmapatapat sin kaiw ed Kenkenta-an adey ya, way sidey adi nan kawitan ay an anapem. (Brother, I saw the rooster there at Kenkenta-an,maybe that’s the roaster you are looking for.)

Gattan; ta enak kad ilan ay, iyaman.(ok thank you I’ll go and see)

:Gattan thanked the boy and went to the place the boy mentioned, called “Kenkentaen.” There, he found chicken droppings under a tree, guessing that his rooster had flown up into the tree. Looking up, he spotted his rooster sitting there.:As years passed, people settled in Tabeo and named the place Tadi-an after Gattan’s rooster, which had marks on its feet. Over time, Tadi-an connected with another place and became known as Tadian.
