Part I: Bringing Home of the Materials from the Forest
The above images shows materials that will be used for the building of the Binangi. This materials were gathered and prepared from the forest by the community and the owner.
After all the materials are gathered and ready to be used for the construction of the Binangi, the community is called to carry them where the Binangi will be constructed.
This practice of the Igorot shows their unity and harmonious way of living. This is called “binnadang”, wherein one who construct a house will be helped by the community and in return when someone in the community will built his house same practice will also be observed.
